With your Kemba checking account, every check you write provides you with a carbonless copy for your records. Plus, you'll receive easy-to-read monthly statements to simplify account balancing.
REGULAR SHARE/SAVINGS ACCOUNT
Your regular savings account represents your share of ownership in the credit union. Your initial deposit of $5 establishes your account and is your opportunity to earn competitive dividends on passbook-type savings. Dividends on accounts with $100 or more are calculated daily and paid monthly. Deposits and withdrawals may be made at any time.
Money Market Account
The Money Market Account is an insured alternative to mutual funds, designed for CFCU investors who are interested in the benefits of a high-yield money market account, combined with the convenience, liquidity, and security of a regular savings account.
Rates are based on current money market rates, are computed daily, and paid monthly. Minimum balance is $2,500 to produce a high return. If your balance should temporarily fall below the minimum balance, you will earn interest at our lowest saving rate.
Money Market Accounts require no minimum withdrawal amount. There is no penalty for early withdrawal, no minimum investment period, and no sales charges, commissions, or fees. Your account enjoys high rates without the limitations of a long term investment.
SHARE CERTIFICATES
Kemba's Share Certificates are perfect for members who want to maximize earnings by investing their funds for a specific period of time. Maturities range from three months to five years, with minimums of $500. Our rates are competitive with area financial institutions, and vary according to the length of the investment.
Interest is compounded daily and paid monthly and may be accumulated and compounded or withdrawn monthly. As with any certificate program, there are substantial penalties for early withdrawals.
